Constantly I see a lot of internet marketers claiming that SEO is easy, while a lot of others complaining that SEO is hard. Can it really be both at the same time, or is it that some people know things that others do not?

It Depends On Your Strategy

The thing I find with most people who are starting out in doing the SEO services for their blogs is that they are targeting extremely competitive one word keywords – and that is always going to be hard!

While these people are struggling with their target keywords, such as ‘cars’, a lot of people are funneling a heap of search engine traffic by taking their keyword that step further by targeting ‘longtail keyword’.

So while one marketer is targeting ‘cars’, the smart marketing is targeting ‘blue cars’ (less competition, and therefore making SEO easier).

The reason, SEO is easy or hard for a marketer is the way they are setting up their seo campaign.

If you own a blog and are not building an email list -then you are loosing money!

Blogs are great, but the biggest problem is that people forget to return, or sign up via rss reader – but forget to check. An email list allows you into your readers world and means that you can visit them, instead of waiting for them to visit you.

The only problem is that getting people to sign up for your email list is not the easiest thing to do, because signup forms get cluttered by content and advertisements.

There  is a lot of debate to whether monthly seo maintenance is important.

One side of the argument says that if you get a page ranking for a term and you are number one, then you don’t need to keep building links to that page.
